Pages on social media circulated a report claiming the killing of Mohammed Abdul Karim al-Toum, a member of the Syrian Ministry of Defense, in an armed attack that targeted his home in the town of Rankous in the Damascus countryside on Wednesday night.
The Kashaf team checked the claim by reviewing official sources and following the information relating to the incident, and it emerged that Mohammed Abdul Karim al-Toum was killed during a security operation carried out by internal security units in Rankous against groups belonging to ISIS.
