Accounts and pages on social media circulated a video whose publishers claimed it documented Israeli forces storming the village of "Jamla" in western rural Daraa and firing randomly at civilians' homes there.

The fact-checking team verified the circulating clip by breaking it into still frames and running a reverse search on them across search engines, and found that the video originally comes from media coverage documenting the site of a shooting that took place near the Palestinian city of "Hebron", and that the footage has no connection to any ongoing events in Syria's Daraa governorate.
Why is this claim misleading?
Changing the context: Footage from the Palestinian territories was repurposed and presented as a raid on a village in Daraa, suggesting to the reader that the scenes depict what happened in the Syrian village, when they bear no relation to it.
