The "Al Arabiya - Syria" and "Al-Hadath Al-Souri" accounts circulated a video on social media as documenting a severe hailstorm that struck the Qadmus area in the coastal governorate of Tartus.
The Kashaf team traced the published video and verified it using reverse search tools, and found that the clip was published two days ago and documents a hailstorm that struck the "Rudrapur" area in India.
Why Is the Report Misleading?
Change of context: the claim relied on republishing a video of a hailstorm in India and stripping it of its geographic context by claiming it was filmed in Syria, to suggest that the weather event occurred in the Qadmus area in the Tartus countryside.
