Accounts and pages on social media circulated a report claiming that Tuesday had been set as the final day for dealing with the old currency in Al-Hasakah governorate.

The Kashaf team verified the circulating reports to establish their reality by searching with keywords and reviewing official sources, where the member of the executive office for the finance sector in Al-Hasakah governorate, "Khaled Ibrahim", confirmed that no change had occurred to the approved procedures regarding dealing with the old currency and withdrawing it from circulation.

He explained that these procedures are subject exclusively to what is issued by the competent official financial bodies nationally, and to the directives specific to Al-Hasakah governorate.
Why is this claim misleading?
Fabricated administrative decisions: Reports were published and dates set with no basis in truth about halting dealings with the old currency in Al-Hasakah governorate, while the body concerned confirmed that the approved procedures had not changed, which makes the report misleading.
