Accounts on social media circulated a report claiming that the minister of information had chosen "Hani Tayfour", who is close to "Asma al-Assad" and his wife "Siham al-Abdali", to take part in selecting staff at the Syrian channel.
Following up on the report, the Kashaf team contacted a responsible source at the Syrian channel, who denied what is being circulated, confirming that the person mentioned works as a director at the television and has no connection to any contracts with the channel staff.
The source added that the channel management looked into the past of "Tayfour" and found no contact between him and "Asma al-Assad" or any other figures of the former regime.
