Pages and platforms on social media circulated reports stating that Dr "Fatat Sakr" had been appointed to head the file for writing and archiving the Syrian revolution within the Transitional Justice Commission.

Following up on the circulating claim, and contacting the media office of the Transitional Justice Commission directly to establish the accuracy of the reports, the office denied this assignment and confirmed that Dr "Fatat Sakr" has been appointed by presidential decree for more than a year as an "administrative member" only, explaining that responsibility for managing the memory and archive file of the revolution is held by "Mohammad Dghaim".
Why is this claim misleading?
Fabricated administrative decisions: The claim rested on an assignment never issued by the Transitional Justice Commission regarding archive file appointments, and it was framed in an inaccurate context to suggest a change of responsibilities inside the commission.
