Pages on social media circulated a video that its publishers claimed was recent and showed the arrest of Suheil al-Hassan, an officer in the ranks of the former regime.
The Kashaf team verified the clip through digital tracing that included breaking it down into still frames and running reverse searches on them, and found that the recording has been online since 2024, that is, before its current recirculation.
The tracing also did not reveal any reliable source proving that the recording shows the arrest of Suheil al-Hassan, whether when it first circulated or at present.
