Kashaf followed up on the video, split the clip into still images and ran a reverse search on them. The technical analysis showed that the footage is old and dates back to a brawl that took place in Souq al-Hal in Damascus on 12 September 2025, and is unrelated to the circulating claims about targeting cars bearing As-Suwayda plates; the review also showed that it is being recirculated out of its original temporal context.

Why is the news misleading?

Old video reposted in a different context: The circulating claim reuses an old clip dating to a brawl in Souq al-Hal in Damascus on 12 September 2025 to spread inaccurate information about targeting cars bearing As-Suwayda plates, out of its original temporal context.
