Pages and accounts across social media circulated an image of a schedule, claiming it belongs to a daily program for a military course of the new Syrian army that focuses on sharia lectures and neglects military training.
Close visual examination of the circulating image showed it to be unreal and artificial, containing clear visual and logical distortions in its structure and the texts inserted in it. This is evident in the Quranic verse at the top of the page, which appeared distorted and incorrect, in addition to illogical time inconsistencies in the distribution of the schedule — such as scheduling the Maghrib prayer between 7:00 and 7:45, when the actual call to prayer falls at 7:45.
Why is this claim false?
Digital forgery: An image of a daily schedule for a military course was fabricated, with illogical times and details invented, in order to claim the absence of military training and a focus on sharia lessons.
