Accounts on social media circulated a video claimed to show a Palestinian person insulting Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa in the Umayyad Mosque.

Kashaf followed up on the report and ran a reverse search, and found that the video documents President al-Sharaa's visit to the Umayyad Mosque on the anniversary of the liberation of Syria in January 2025, that the original video contains no insults directed at President al-Sharaa, and that the sound of the insults was added to the video and published again.
Why is this claim misleading?
Digitally altered content: Republishing the video with the sound of insults added, and taking it out of its substantive context, constitutes a misleading claim.
