Accounts on social media platforms circulated a report claiming that Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa received the President of Iraq's Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, without the Iraqi flag being present.
The Kashaf team conducted a keyword search and reviewed official sources and video footage of the reception ceremony. It found that the Iraqi flag was officially present and appeared clearly alongside the Kurdistan Region flag behind Barzani during his meeting with al-Sharaa.
