Pages on social media circulated a video showing a young man riding a motorcycle recklessly, claiming it was filmed in Syria.
The Kashaf team carried out a digital analysis of the clip that included breaking it into still frames, examining the visible elements, reviewing the spatial details and indicative markers within the scenes, and conducting a reverse search and tracking earlier copies of the clip. It found that the video does not belong to Syria but was filmed on the Marivan road in the Kurdistan region of Iran. The geographic location visible in the clip did not match the place where it was claimed to have been filmed.
