Accounts and pages on social media platforms circulated a report alleging that the internal security forces carried out an arrest campaign in the city of Jaramana in Rif Dimashq, following the demonstrations the city witnessed on Monday 13/07/2026.
The Kashaf team followed up on the report by searching official sources and reviewing the statements of the relevant authorities, in addition to contacting informed local sources inside the city of Jaramana and cross-checking information from more than one independent source. It emerged that what the city witnessed was limited to a security deployment in a number of streets, with no raids or arrest campaigns recorded.

Distortion of content: Based on the field verification, the review of official and local sources, and the absence of any reliable information confirming that an arrest campaign took place, presenting the security deployment in the city as an arrest campaign makes the circulating report misleading.
