Details of the report

Al-Ibrahim explained that he was summoned and questioned by the directorate because of the content of his sermon, in which he addressed the high cost of living and the existence of corruption in some institutions, directing criticism at a number of ministers and officials. He confirmed that the concerned authorities had leveled accusations of "hostility to the state" against him, and had demanded that he submit an official apology and delete the recording of the sermon published on his personal accounts, which he flatly refused.

Sheikh al-Ibrahim stressed at the close of his remarks that the decision to suspend him and to bar him from ascending the pulpit would not push him to back down or to keep silent about his positions.
