Accounts and pages on social media platforms circulated a report claiming that the international coalition intends to rehabilitate and retrain Kurdish forces affiliated with “Rojava”.
Kashaf followed up on the circulating report to verify it, and through advanced keyword searches and a review of the official website of the international coalition, found that the claim is entirely baseless. The report lacks any basis or official statement, as neither the official website of the international coalition forces nor the official accounts of the “Autonomous Administration” published any announcement or statement to this effect. It was also noted that the report spread as copied text without any link to a credible news article or a statement attributed to a coalition official, as of 31 May 2026.
Why is this claim false?
Fabricated military news: Inventing news about the international coalition’s intention to rehabilitate and retrain Kurdish forces affiliated with “Rojava”, and spreading it as circulating text without relying on any official data or credible sources, with the aim of stirring controversy and misleading public opinion about military movements, falls within the category of fabricated and false news.
