Accounts and pages on social media circulated a video clip, with its publishers claiming that it documents the shelling of the residential compound where Bashar al-Assad lives in the Russian capital, Moscow, and that it sustained a direct hit.

The Kashaf team verified the circulating clip by breaking it into still frames and running a reverse image search, and found that the video was used outside its context and has no connection to the targeting of any residential compound. The results showed that the clip in fact shows the targeting of a major oil refinery in the Russian capital, Moscow, in a drone attack carried out by Ukraine.
Why is this claim misleading?
Out of context: The claim relied on a clip documenting a drone attack on an oil refinery in Moscow, and changed its context to suggest that it shows the shelling of the residential compound where Bashar al-Assad lives and that he sustained a direct hit.
