The brother of journalist Amjad al-Sari said that Amjad is currently being held at the Maslakiya branch in Kafr Sousa, considering that the arrest took place without legal justification, amid what he described as attempts to fabricate charges against him.
In his post he also referred to allegations that the elder brother, lawyer Tami al-Sari, was beaten on the head by personnel attached to the Bab Musalla police station in Damascus, which caused him injury.
The author of the post held the Ministry of Interior and the security bodies fully responsible for the safety of the two brothers, demanding an urgent disclosure of the circumstances of the incident, and pointing at the same time to the intention of the family to take all legal measures and to pursue those responsible for these violations, as he described them.
