Accounts and pages on social media circulated a report claiming that the Deputy Governor of Hasakah, Ahmed al-Hilali, died in a traffic accident on the Hasakah - Shaddadi road, accompanied by an image bearing the logo and identity of "Al-Araby TV", suggesting that it came from the channel.

A source close to Hasakah Deputy Governor Ahmed al-Hilali denied to Kashaf the report of his death in a traffic accident. The Kashaf team also reviewed the official accounts of "Al-Araby TV" and found no post about al-Hilali's death or the circulating accident, nor did it find the image used in the claim among the channel's content.
Why is this claim misleading?
Impersonation: The circulating image was attributed to "Al-Araby TV" by using the channel's logo and visual identity, while neither the image nor any post about al-Hilali's death was found on the channel's official accounts, and a source close to al-Hilali denied the report of his death.
