Accounts and pages on social media circulated a video, claiming that it is recent and documents shooting and protesters being run over by cars in Idlib by members affiliated with the Syrian government.
The Kashaf team checked the circulating video by breaking it down into still frames and running a reverse search, and found that the video is old and was used out of its temporal context. The results showed that the clip was published earlier, on May 17, 2024, dates back to the period before the liberation of Syria, and does not document any recent events or movements.

Out of temporal context: An old video dating back to May 17, 2024 was recycled, and its temporal context was changed to claim that it documents recent events of shooting and protesters being run over in Idlib.
