The Turkish Embassy in Damascus announced an amendment to the procedures for travel to Turkey, ending the air-travel requirement for holders of Turkish visas.

Under the decision, Syrians holding valid Turkish visas issued by the Turkish embassy or consulate can now enter Turkey through land crossings, alongside air crossings, after entry under these visas had been limited to air travel.

The embassy announcement stated that valid visas issued by its diplomatic missions will be valid for entry into the Republic of Turkey through all land border crossings, in addition to air border crossings.
