Accounts and pages on social media circulated a video, whose publishers claimed it documents a recent presence of Israeli soldiers inside Syrian territory.
Following up on the circulating claim, and returning to our database, it emerged that the team had already debunked the same clip on 21/09/2025.
The verification results at the time, obtained by splitting the video into still frames and running a reverse search on them, showed that the clip is old and taken out of its true time context. It emerged that the video was published by the Israeli singer and occupation army reservist "Noam Buskila" through his social media accounts on 24/07/2025, when he stated that the clip documents the start of his service in the occupied Syrian territory.
Why is this claim misleading?
Out of temporal context: The claim relied on a clip published by an Israeli reservist on 24/07/2025 from the occupied Syrian territory, and it was framed in a new time context to suggest that it documents a recent presence of Israeli soldiers inside Syria.
