Pages and accounts on social media circulated an image they said documented the person Hussein al-Ahmad, nicknamed "Hayhu," after his arrest.

Kashaf subjected the image to a close visual examination that revealed flaws in the details, including a clear discrepancy in the shape of the eyes and distortions in the facial features pointing to digital manipulation or AI generation. The image was also run through The Hive tool for detecting digitally generated content, and the result showed that the image was created using artificial intelligence techniques.

Why is this claim misleading?
An AI-generated fabricated image: The claim relied on non-original visual material generated by artificial intelligence and presented as documentation of a real incident, making it fake evidence that does not reflect reality.
