Pages and accounts on social media circulated a video claiming it documents the moment a Syrian citizen bids farewell to his family after being abducted by members of the Syrian government forces.

The Kashaf team verified the circulating video by cutting it into still frames and running reverse image searches, and found that the clip is taken out of its true temporal context; it is old, published on 28 June 2013, and in fact documents Free Syrian Army factions arresting a member of the ousted regime's forces, with no connection to any recent abduction of civilians.
Why is this claim misleading?
Out of temporal context: A clip dating to 2013 was reposted and promoted as documenting a recent abduction of a Syrian citizen by government forces, to suggest the incident is current.
