Pages and accounts on social media circulated a video claiming it documents large military convoys of the Syrian army heading toward Al-Hasakah province and the city of Qamishli to intervene and control the situation amid confrontations between Syrian tribes and the "SDF" militia.
The fact-checking team first examined the accompanying audio and noted a stereotypical voice tone often used in technically generated clips, then ran a precise technical check using the AI-content detection tool "Hive Moderation," which found that the clip is fabricated and generated by AI tools at a rate of up to 97 percent.
