Accounts on social media circulated a video claiming to show a large brawl caused by food distribution running out in the city of Idlib, alongside claims describing residents as dying of hunger.
The fact-checking team traced the clip by breaking it into still frames and running a reverse image search using Google Lens, which showed that the video dates to a brawl that took place in the Nazzal neighborhood of the Jordanian capital Amman on 17 July 2026 and has no connection to the city of Idlib.
