Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his forces carried out an intervention inside Syrian territory "despite warnings" that urged him to refrain from the step and described it as unwise and ill-considered.
Netanyahu added that the intervention was aimed at what he called "saving members of the Druze community," affirming his continued commitment to what he described as protecting them and not abandoning them.
