Pages on social media platforms circulated claims that content creator Hassan Aqqad had disappeared under mysterious circumstances, pointing to his going to the Information Security headquarters in Damascus at the request of the Ministry of Interior, and to contact with him being lost after a meeting with Moussa Al-Omar at one of the capital’s hotels.
The Kashaf platform team examined the truth of the circulating reports about the disappearance of the Syrian activist, and found them to be untrue after reviewing his personal accounts. Hassan Aqqad published an explicit denial of these rumors on his official Instagram account on June 8, 2026, affirming that he was personally safe and ready to issue a press statement clarifying what had happened over the previous days.
